Charged Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Charged (the "App", "we", "us") helps you monitor the battery status of your fitness sensors and devices. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It covers the Charged web app (https://charged.bscotttech.com), iOS app, Android app, and backend service. It does not cover any other service.

Who We Are

The App is operated by Brian Scott McEntire, based in Maryland, the United States. Contact: support@bscotttech.com.

Data We Collect

How We Use It

We use this data to provide and improve the App, including displaying device battery dashboards, showing you information about your activities, understanding how and where the App is used, sending low-battery or activity notifications if you enabled them, and maintaining service security. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone except as described below.

Notifications are tied to your account, not your login session: logging out ends the session but does not stop notifications you have enabled. To stop them, turn off the notification toggles in the App's settings or delete your account.

Charged may use aggregated data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or otherwise enhance internal machine learning or AI models to provide better predictions to our users.

Garmin Connect Data — Third-Party Sharing Prohibited

Data obtained via the Garmin Connect Developer Program API ("Garmin-sourced Data") is not shared with, processed by, or made available to any third party, including any external artificial intelligence ("AI") provider or other external data processing service. Specifically:

Wahoo Cloud Data

Data obtained via the Wahoo Cloud API is handled in the same manner as Garmin-sourced Data above: to provide and improve the App, and not sent to any external AI provider or other third-party processor.

Intervals.icu Data

Data obtained via the Intervals.icu API is handled in the same manner as Garmin-sourced Data above: to provide and improve the App, and not sent to any external AI provider or other third-party processor.

Service Providers

We rely on service providers who process data on our behalf under their standard terms and do not use your data for their own purposes — providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), RevenueCat, Apple Push Notification service, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. We do not share platform-sourced data with third parties except those processing it on our behalf.

Retention and Deletion

We may keep your provider account data, device metadata, and battery history for as long as you have an account. You may disconnect a provider at any time; disconnecting a provider in the App stops new data from that source, and you can also revoke Charged's access from providers' own account settings. Your existing battery history stays with your account so it is still there if you reconnect. To remove your data, delete your account from within the App via Settings → Delete Account (or email us); we then delete your account, sign-in identity, and provider links, and delete or anonymize your activity and battery records. Copies of activity files are handled as described below.

We retain copies of activity files we receive — including files uploaded without an account — for a limited period, after which they are deleted automatically. These files can include location and heart-rate data recorded by your devices. We use activity files to operate and improve the Service. Deleting your account removes your account records; activity files may be removed by regular automated processes rather than at the time of account deletion.

We may retain data derived from your activities — such as aggregated or generalized statistics and route information — to provide and improve the Service. Derived and aggregated data may be retained after account deletion.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, such as requesting access to or deletion of it. You can delete your account yourself at any time from within the App; for other requests, email support@bscotttech.com.

International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you are outside the United States, using the App means your data is transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, and limited-access credentials.

Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies

The App uses a session cookie to keep you logged in.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion. Any change takes effect when the updated version is posted within the App or on our website. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not required to notify you individually of changes. The current version is always available for you to review, and your continued use of the App after a change is posted constitutes acceptance.
